PICNIC * TROPHY PRESENTATIONS * ALL-STAR GAMES
Sunday, October 3rd will be time for our annual league picnic, trophy presentations and All-Star Games. ALL players and family members are welcomed. Beverages and food will be provided, served up by our own Chef Charles. He will once again don the
official AZMSBL apron, tie himself to the BBQ grill and serve up hamburgers and hotdogs until we set him free. Cold drinks will be aplenty and the brew on tap. We have the large ramada next to the parking lot at Indian School Park. As he has in the past,
Lou puts out the challenge to any and all who think they’re pretty good at throwing horse shoes, to meet him in the pits. He says, “If you think you’re good enough, bring it on”. Lou plays horse shoes about as well as he does baseball, so if you’ve seen
him on the diamond, then you know what you’re in for. Early afternoon, LouMac will present division and playoff winners with trophies. Championship managers – make sure that you or your coach will be there. This year will be our first with three
All-Star games. Following is the schedule:
10 am Indian School 3 – 35E Division vs 25 Central Division 10 am Indian School 4 – 35 Central Division vs 45’s Division 9 am Glendale Community – 25 National teams 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9 vs teams 2, 4, 6, 8
& 10 Home teams to be determined by coin flip.
Following are the number of players that teams should send to the games:
35E – 2 25 Central – 3 35 Central – 3 45’s – 3 25 National - 3 Division winning managers will manage
teams. 25N manager of the second place team will manage even numbered teams. All other managers – MAKE SURE to send names and info of your All-Stars to the appropriate All-Star Game manager. Players not participating in the games - get out to a game
and cheer on your teammates and division. See you all there!
PLAYOFF UPDATE
Most teams have at least one rain out to be made up so, it will be a busy August as we intend to complete the regular season before the Labor Day weekend. The
tentative start date for playoff games is September 7th, anticipating completion on or before the 30th. Our tradition is; the top four teams from each division square off. The format is 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3. Winners of the first round then play. Both
